"Where you stumble and fall, there you shall find gold." (Joseph Campbell). We have our challenges, whether daily or epochal, which are represented here by the moths, with their short and repetitive life cycles. How we respond to these - what we learn, how we grow - shape who we are. This phoenix has responded to it's trial by fire triumphantly with humility, wisdom and grace. As my stepdad used to say, "if at first it tastes like nectar, it could be poison. If at first it tastes like poison, it could be nectar."
