Original mixed media illustrations from the current iteration of my Animal Totem series spanning from 2013 on. This is a [mostly] comprehensive list of all the full size pieces I've made since then. 2 are currently available.

I draw detailed ink illustrations on watercolor paper, then color in with layers of watercolor. In the past, I colored with alcohol-based markers, which I occasionally still employ. Many of the pieces are finished with highlights of gold leaf, acrylic marker, or oil pastel.

Original works are spray varnished then usually float mounted in custom cut frames set behind museum quality glass or acrylic, and sometimes they are flush mounted to a cradled wood panel and displayed with out glass. 

While many of these have stories that explain the piece under "see details," I haven't gotten around to writing down all of them. If there's any missing a story you'd like to hear, feel free to nudge me mike@rohnerart.com.
