What makes a thing trendy? Why are flamingos "in" now? Moments after my 13-year-old niece informed me that pineapples are cool, not one, but two random people peeked in my booth to ask if I drew...pineapples (mind you I have no other fruit in here). This is a high-minded meditation on the group-think that informs our taste. By the way, grapefruits are really cool, too.
